Golf is one of the most suitable sports for this time of year, and the Galician summer, with its moderate temperatures, invites to enjoy a day in a relaxing environment. Here we present some of the best golf courses in our land, where you can enjoy your leisure time in a unique way.

Golf Balneario de Mondariz

Located in the province of Pontevedra, between the cities of Vigo and Ourense, this golf course belongs to one of the best health resorts in Galicia, the exclusive Hotel Spa and Conference Centre which, besides having one of the best golf courses, the area has facilities in which the guests can enjoy an unforgettable stay to all its guests in a totally stress-free environment. The 18- hole par 71 course is located in a field of 48 hectares in which  there is a route full of greens of between 750 and 1,000 square meters with intricate falls .

Miño Golf Club

The route of this 18-hole par 72 golf course located in the town of Miño, between the cities of Coruña and Ferrol, is surrounded by a lush environment where there is a lot of vegetation. This is a club that, despite being relatively new —it was opened in 2007— , seems destined to become a landmark for golf lovers. In addition to the golf course, the club also has a practices range with putting green, two paddle courts, clubhouse with bar and restaurant, locker rooms, golf school, and two swimming pools that open during the summer.

Real Club de Golf de A Coruña

Opened in 1961, this course was designed by the Scottish architect Philip Mackenzie Ross, who had already left his signature on Spanish courses such as Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas, as well as others in Portugal, Great Britain and France. Facilities at this club, in addition to a golf course of 18 holes and a practice court with a length of 230 meters, have four pools-two of them suitable for the smallest of the house, three tennis courts, four paddle courts, a small football pitch and skating, a gym and a playground. In addition, the Club has a space prepared for use as nursing.

Augas Santas Golf

This golf resort belongs to the OCA Augas Santas & Golf Resort and Spa and is located in the town of Pantón, in the southern province of Lugo. The tour with a gentle relief and few buildings around it, is perfect to move around a natural setting rich in deciduous plants. The field, which has 18-hole par 70 course, is also equipped with a practice tennis court of 200x85m.

Club de Golf La Toja

Opened in 1970, this is one of the most famous courses in Galicia and, thanks to its location on the idyllic island of La Toja, it has spectacular views of the Ria de Arousa and an enviable natural environment. It is this privileged situation that marks the game greatly, depending on the wind and tide situation. It is these latter additional difficulties which make this golf field, whose route has 18 challenging holes for players of all handicaps, one of the most attractive for professionals and amateurs who value competitiveness. The Club organizes, throughout the entire year, many events and tournaments for amateur players who can register through their website.

Campo de Golf Meis

The strength of this field is the combination of the difficulty of his tour with the enormous natural beauty that surrounds it. Its location in the top of a hill from which you can overlook the Estuaries of Arousa and Pontevedra, is an incentive to any sports day. The circuit design includes holes with different appearances and narrow streets flanked by rows of pine trees that act as obstacles that test the technical skills of the players. At the conclusion of the game, visitors can approach the different towns along the field Meis — O Grove, Arousa …—to enjoy their extraordinary cuisine.

Real Aero Club de Santiago

Founded in 1947, this club Compostela conditioned facilities for playing golf in 1976. His 18-hole course is perfect for those players seeking challenges, since the route requires great technical level with very narrow streets surrounded by many obstacles as a large number of trees, small greens and some lakes. Among the activities organized by the Club are in addition to golf competitions, tennis lessons on four tracks, paddle tournaments, pilates classes, workshops with personal trainers and even classes of sevillanas and rumbas. As can be seen, that of Santiago is one of the most complete in Galicia Clubs.
